Folgende Workshops können Sie individuell buchen:
Workshop Metamorphoses
From the surface to the volume in space: in the workshop you research the sculptural possibilities offered by paper and metal foil. Folded, cut and stretched out, these thin materials are transformed into three-dimensional objects and lightweight vessels.
Workshop Patterns: Ornament or Crime?
The battle on behalf of or against ornament was one of the most bitter struggles in the history of modernism. For decades, the unornamented form was regarded as the only "good" form and also as a characteristic of Swiss design. But for quite some time now patterns have playfully and subtly made their way back to the design of things. After a stroll through the collection highlights you experiment with printing patterns in the studio.
Workshop Concept and Chance: Experiments with Solar Photographic Paper
Cyanotype is the name given to a process dating from the early days of photography which exploits the photosensitivity of a ferric salt. Objects can be depicted on a special kind of paper without the use of appliances or darkroom. At the Bauhaus experimenting with such photograms was part of the basic training. In the workshop you can rearrange things time and time again: different Intensities of light produce surprising graphic effects.
On various tours you can explore the design and graphic highlights at the location Ausstellungsstrasse. Virtually – through image and text, video and sound – the eGuide offers information and stories about more than 200 exhibited objects from the Museum's collection.
You can use the eGuide free of charge on your own smart phone or on a device that you can borrow from the museum shop.
